Basset started in 1996 as a spin-off from Netcom Consultants and Comviq GSM. System Engineer

As a System Engineer you will be tasked with delivering support for our products within the Revenue Assurance and Specialized Billing domains to Basset customers, worldwide. Your role is to make sure the customer receives the support they need for Basset’s products and services. You will also deliver consulting services and help develop Basset’s service offering.

Duties

You will be part of the company's Services department, which today consists of 15 persons. Main duties consist of technical support for our installed applications at customer sites around the globe. We have customers worldwide and a lot of communication, mainly through email and telephone. On-call work may occur.

Background

You have a burning technical interest for both hardware and software. Very good knowledge of Microsoft's core products (Windows 2003/2008) is required and good knowledge of MS SQLServer and relational databases will be a big plus. You need to be open to travelling up to 30% of the working time. We prefer that you have a background in telecom (billing, roaming, interconnect, network) but it is not a requirement. Excellent command of English in speech and writing is a requirement. Swedish will be a big plus and Spanish, French or other language skills will also be a useful qualification.

Personal characteristics

We are looking for someone that is structured, stress resistant, and can prioritize. As a person you are responsible, resourceful and can work both independently and in a group. Close customer contact is a central part of the job. It is therefore important that you feel comfortable with this and can build personal relationships.
